Designing & Developing Websites for a Range of Industries

Project6 Design is especially proud of the work we have done for the healthcare industry and non-profit organizations.  One example is the new website we designed for the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) that was completed early last year.  The organization’s goal is to improve the health of pregnant women and newborns by making sure that approaches to illness that have been demonstrated to be effective are implemented.

This important mission is led by a group of public and private leaders in healthcare who have joined forces to improve the quality of care and outcomes for California’s pregnant mothers and newborns.  By offering health care providers and academic researchers a place to access such a rich, diverse database, it helps to promote premium patient care as well as efficiencies in resource allocation and use.  The program includes 137 member hospitals, and represents over 90% of neonatal intensive care provided in California, so as you can imagine the wealth of information that must be organized and made available to share.

Project6’s task involved helping CPQCC to modernize their outdated website that was not only difficult for users to navigate and find what they needed, but did not adequately reflect CPQCC’s position as a leading professional organization.  We also updated the design of the website so now it conveys a consistent brand identity, including logo, fonts, and color palette.   We built the website using the Drupal content management system to ensure the site’s administrators can easily update content and images.

In addition CPQCC’s new website is fully responsive across all devices and is designed to address the needs of the organization’s numerous programs as well as the needs of its members.  Please see our website to learn more about this and our many other projects we have posted on our website.

Trust the Experts to Put a Creative Spin on Web Design

Project6 Design provides complete design services suitable for virtually any communication challenges for a broad range of industries including high-tech, retail, healthcare, education and non-profit organizations.  With a reputation for award-winning designs and UI/UX expertise, clients turn to us to help them portray their brand’s story as well as to solve usability problems and drive business results.

One of our recent successes was to redesign the website for Sindeo, a progressive mortgage lending corporation that offers “a better way to get a mortgage.”  Their twist on modern mortgage lending allows a potential home buyer to apply just once for a mortgage, and then shop for more than a thousand loans in the course of a few minutes.

This approach to shopping for mortgages demands an effective, efficient website, and our team’s task was to redesign the site to make it accessible to anyone exploring home ownership.  To fully understand Sindeo’s needs and what they hoped to accomplish with their new site, we began the process by collaborating with their development team.

The project involved designing the new website around a tight grid system to provide easy implementation.  By using video throughout the site as a strong story-telling tool, we were able to illustrate the positive feelings associated with homeownership.  Overall the redesign invites users to learn more about Sindeo’s unique approach to obtaining a mortgage.

This is just one example of the creative methods we use to tell a company’s story.  Please visit our website to learn more about Project6 Design and read about our other “success stories.”  Our expertise includes brand strategy, branding, print design, graphic design, web design, user interface design, information architecture, WordPress, Drupal CMS, and web development.

Creating Award-winning Messaging for Disease Prevention

Several years ago, Project6 Design was honored to help the San Francisco Department of Public Health to develop an award-winning ad campaign with the purpose of increasing public awareness of the influenza virus and pandemic flu.  The city-wide marketing campaign was called “"Infect Me Not" and won the 2009 Silver International Davey Award for its creativity and effective messaging.

Project6’s task was to design a campaign that would educate the public about healthy habits to keep San Franciscans well by helping to prevent the spread of common infectious diseases.  It also was used to promote pandemic flu awareness and preparedness.  The SFDPH’s mission was to share the public service advertisements throughout the city by targeting the general public, city partners, and business/organizations.  The message was carried by a variety of media including posters inside and outside of MUNI busses and shelters and BART stations, magnets, brochures, a handbook and other methods.

Our team created a strategic messaging campaign platform that revolved around eight essential healthy habits that can help to prevent germs and infectious diseases from spreading.  We then built the branding, graphic design, and print production around these key messages such as: stay home when you are sick, get vaccinated, and cough & sneeze into your sleeve.

Project6 Design encourages you to take a look at our website to see an example of a few of our creative ads for the SFDPH campaign, and while you are there, browse through some of our other successful projects.  Our clients include the California State University, ebay, CA Technologies, Stanford, Old Navy, Belvedere Tiburon Library and many more.  Our expertise includes shaping brands and solving complex usability problems through web design and development, branding and print materials.

Project6 Featured in Storyboard Magazine

Project6 Design was honored to be featured in an article in the Fall edition of Storyboard Magazine, a quarterly magazine for visual media professionals from Visual Media Alliance.  Storyboard provides an in-depth look at the creative world across all media including a combination of print, web, digital and video.

The magazine offers a behind the scenes look at Project6 including the origin of the firm’s name.  Why Project6 Design?  Co-founders, Edina Tanović and Esten Sesto explain that the name stems from Esten’s last name, which means sixth in Italian, and the pair thought the name suggested a fun, James Bond-like sounding secret mission.  The co-founders also share that while both of them have a background in product design, Tanović brought her passion for branding and graphics and Sesto brought his expertise in UI/UX to form the company.

In addition the article highlights details regarding the new, renovated studio space that showcases our philosophy of design, simplicity and cleanliness.  Furthermore, as Project6 helps clients develop a consistent marketing message through branding, print, and web design and development, our work methods require collaboration between our team.  We are pleased to report that our new, renovated studio space encourages that dynamic.

When Tanović and Sesto first saw the space that used to be a desktop printer repair facility, it looked like a scene from the TV show the Hoarders.   After lots of work, the new studio, which doubles the space of the firm’s old offices, meets the needs of our staff extremely well.  Renovations were finally completed last October and the expanded space has allowed the company to increase its staff.  The design elements of the redo are simplistic and clean, yet classic - not trendy.  It should look as good ten years from now as it does today.
