Using Our Expertise to Assist an Innovative Philanthropic Foundation

We are especially proud of the fact that many of Project6 Design’s projects involve helping nonprofit and community organizations to improve their services and communicate a clearer message regarding the scope of their work.  One such project was to design and develop a microsite for the ClimateWorks Foundation, which is an organization that “mobilizes philanthropy in order to solve the climate crisis and ensure a prosperous future.”

The creation of the Carbon Transparency Initiative (CTI) microsite is to keep track of progress toward a low-carbon future.  The site provides greenhouse gas emissions trends that will be used to allow funders of the ClimateWorks Foundation to leverage their response to global climate change.  The data will be analyzed to improve strategies and track progress of those strategies over time.

Our job at Project6 Design was to help ClimateWorks to create a set of tools to help funders and decision makers within the climate community project as well as other partners to track and analyze this information.  We not only designed and developed the microsite so it is easy for users to navigate and access reliable, consistent information, but made it easy for system administrators to update.

The Foundation is also using the ClimateWorks Tracker to draw upon peer-reviewed Carbon Transparency Initiative Models that will chart and record greenhouse gas emission pathways from 2010 to 2030.  Additionally the CTI will record year-to-year changes in order to track actual progress toward national emissions targets and allow for sectoral and regional comparisons.

We encourage you to visit our website to take a look at the other projects we have featured on our site.  In addition to nonprofits, Project6 Design’s experience includes working with high tech, retail, and educational organizations.

Designing & Developing Websites for a Range of Industries

Project6 Design is especially proud of the work we have done for the healthcare industry and non-profit organizations.  One example is the new website we designed for the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) that was completed early last year.  The organization’s goal is to improve the health of pregnant women and newborns by making sure that approaches to illness that have been demonstrated to be effective are implemented.

This important mission is led by a group of public and private leaders in healthcare who have joined forces to improve the quality of care and outcomes for California’s pregnant mothers and newborns.  By offering health care providers and academic researchers a place to access such a rich, diverse database, it helps to promote premium patient care as well as efficiencies in resource allocation and use.  The program includes 137 member hospitals, and represents over 90% of neonatal intensive care provided in California, so as you can imagine the wealth of information that must be organized and made available to share.

Project6’s task involved helping CPQCC to modernize their outdated website that was not only difficult for users to navigate and find what they needed, but did not adequately reflect CPQCC’s position as a leading professional organization.  We also updated the design of the website so now it conveys a consistent brand identity, including logo, fonts, and color palette.   We built the website using the Drupal content management system to ensure the site’s administrators can easily update content and images.

In addition CPQCC’s new website is fully responsive across all devices and is designed to address the needs of the organization’s numerous programs as well as the needs of its members.  Please see our website to learn more about this and our many other projects we have posted on our website.
