Redesigned Website for Home Automation Company Wins Davey Award

The Project6 Design team was pleased to hear we won a 2016 Davey Award for the overhaul and redesign of a website for the luxury home automation company, ELAN.  Sponsored by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), the awards recognize the best creative work from among small agencies, firms and companies across the globe.  This year’s winners were selected from almost 4,000 entries.     

The AIVA, a 700 plus member organization made up of leading professions from within a variety of disciplines in the visual arts, judges and oversees the Davey Awards.  The organization is committed to embracing progress and recognizing the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. 

Project6 Design’s recent overhaul of ELAN’s website resulted in a clean, visually appealing site that is easy-to-navigate, update and maintain.  In fact the new website design better complements the company’s goal of simplifying and enhancing a connected home.  

ELAN’s business model involves creating private network hubs for their customers that seamlessly combine music, TV, climate, lighting and other home systems with an easy-to-use interface that puts the user in control whether at home or away.  An ELAN system allows users to see, hear, and respond to visitors while sitting on the couch, in their car or out of the country.  

ELAN is an award-winning company in their own right as the newly introduced ELAN 8 was recognized at CES 2017 with the “2017 Human Interface Product of the Year” award from the Consumer Technology Association’s Mark of Excellence Award Program Committee. Offering enhanced interface, powerful new user managed features and voice control through Amazon Alexa, the new software eliminates the need for multiple apps and control switches as everything can be easily controlled through the intuitive ELAN system.
